Cavan Ventures begins phase 2 exploration program

Cavan Ventures Inc. reports it has began its Phase 2 exploration program on Kaslo Property (formerly named Emerald Property) located in the Slocan Mining District, British Columbia, Canada.
Phase 1 of the 2008 program which began in June consisted of installation of a 17 km geochemical soil grid. Results from this program have been received from Acme Labs of Vancouver, BC and have resulted in a 300 metre extension of the 1100 metre multi-element soil anomaly which was outlined in the previous work program.

Effective August 8, 2008, Mr. Eugene Beukman’s resignation as director and member of the audit and compensation committee of the Company. Mr. Guang Xue has also resigned as director as of August 15, 2008. Cavan Ventures Inc. thanks both Mr. Beukman and Mr. Xue for their contribution to the Company.
